Looks to me like Carleton. What does Chesterton have to do with this?

I can’t find any either for sale or sold, anywhere. Not sure if good or bad sign, but I’m sure the market isn’t saturated with them.

I've always been taught boats are never a good investment. I'm going to stick with that.

Wood looks very good from inside the canoe. Wonder if it could have any hidden damage?

I dunno. Old Town is a great name in canoes, but this one looks like it needs some work on the exterior. Use it? or flip it?

Thx now I see it should have deck plates and doesn’t, and maybe seats? Would just buy it to flip if retail was like $4k but ihni.

There’s something there about finding the year by the type of tag on it too.
I think they used this same shell for sailboat, fishing, and Conor. So I don’t know if you need anything else.
Join the thread, and ask they would seem to know.

Thanks, since it needs some restoration I’m not too tempted at present price. If it is still there on last day maybe I’ll offer $500. Or something, gotta be worth that.

. Thanks, then even if I got it at $500. There wouldn’t be enough comfort zone for me, I’m gonna pass on it. Much appreciate the advice, just couldn’t seem to find any dollar numbers on my own. Maybe I’ll get a pic of the little junk I did buy there, mostly tools and a bit of techno-militaria. The estate was that of a man who had worked for a local rocket development company.

I wouldn't want to make it for $500, but alas this sort of thing never goes for the price it ought to.

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

Old Town Canoes, from what I remember, are pretty classic, and hard to come by in any decent condition!!!!! Mom & Dad had one back in the 50s or 60s on B.I.....sold it when leaving B.I. in the late 80s.....I think the guy STILL has it!!!!! And yes, it had 2 caned seats, and some kind of flooring.....

Well this is all going on only a block away, so if anyone wants me to put in a bid for them, I can do it thru Sunday. I’d need to give them your credit card info but I could pick it up and keep in a warehouse for a limited time till u picked it up.

As I mentioned “I’m out,” ‘cause i hate to admit it, but I’m just too greedy and lazy anymore to get involved without a substantial assured profit.
