Today I found this weird holder. Although it was bent, I figured for $1.50 it was no big loss if I couldn't fix it. Egyptian Revival by Charles W. Hamill & Co. Circa 1876-1884. I'd really like to fix it if I can. Any suggestions how?

It's a zinc tin mix. Likely to crack if you just try to bend it. May be able to tap it back a little at a whack with a urethane hammer.

It's my first Egyptian Revival silverplate find, so even though it's damaged, I like it a lot! It is able to stand upright, even though it's misshapen. :) If I can't repair it, I'll probably just display it on a shelf with the dent facing back and find a nice jar for it.

It’s a very nice looking piece! Even dented, it has eye appeal worth much more!

If I can't find an antique castor jar, it'll look good with a large candle in it, I think :)

A candle is perfect, if you can’t fix the dent, you can carve the candle easily!
