No marks only makers name which I believe is American ?

There should be a gold quality mark even if it only says 18Ct. I am not good on American though. This would be for a child I think rather than a chatelaine. Infinitely usable and very pretty. Gold would unlikely be more than 14Ct as 18 is just too soft really for a tool

Yes, that suggests use on a chatelaine, or maybe with a dance card.
