    that's not a backyard atelier. doesn't exclude that they made some stuff designed by Taschner. I rather suspect a conclusion by one person and then it was spread by English speakers and Italians on the net.

    I concur with your conclusion, but can’t see how you (not you, whomever your quoting) can cast blame to certain groups. :confused:

    Taschner died in 1913. Find a marked piece by Böhme & Hennen after that date and you'll have the answer.

    not conclusive. let's say if the cigar cutters were made by this company then it's very possible that they were still made after WWI, because in mid-1914 Germany switched to war economy.

    I rather hope that the net will rectify itself like science does all the time. constantly controlling for what is taken as fact at the moment but can be proven wrong in the future.
    I hope that I will live to see all Kovels thrown in the recovered paper.:rolleyes:
    no, on a lighter note we shouldn't take such things too serious because it should stay what it is for most - a nice hobby. at the moment we have enough life or death situations on the world.
