    Yeah...which is it normal for a death mask I don't think but I just bought it anyway.

    I think it's just a mask, but whoever owned it thought a lot of it. That sort of framing isn't cheap.

    Is that red velvet in the shadow box? Out of respect for the dead?
    Possibly an actor associated with horror films? VIncent Price? For your benefit, since that would be worth a small fortune.

    It does give it a more art student feel.Yet I think the nose and mouth/chin area seem to be more "accomplished" for lack of a better term.Overall it makes a heck of a statement!

    You're probably right that it's not a death mask ... the detail doesn't seem to be there from what I've seen elsewhere online (although it does look more impressive in person given the three dimensional facial features that pop out). The eyes do seem a bit "unfinished". That said - I'm still open to people's opinions on this. I'll try to get a few more/better pics. At the very least it's a weird discussion starter to hang on the wall :)
