I can imagine it sitting on top of a wooden sign... the kind that extends out over the sidewalk.

    Hi Lucas and welcome,
I just love your dragon. What a find! And so interesting. Dragons are an important symbol in Asia, and to me your looks Chinese. In Feng Shui they need space around them, must face into a room to bring energy in and as many as 5 can be used in the same house, but never as a trio. They bring strength, wealth and courage into your life, and I can see these qualities in your dragon. I can certainly see this being used in a shop for the prosperity it might bring, but equally it would be powerful in a house. They are often shown holding a pearl (originally the red glowing sun) or the moon, and are either flying or standing.
Often dragons sat on their back legs and held the sun in their claw and I wonder if your dragon can take different poses? Can you adjust the legs so he can sit upright on his tail? Does his tongue move? It almost looks like it could have something hanging from it and do the horns move? More pics would be great.
A beautiful piece and as dragons demand respect for their immense strength and power, I hope you are keeping him in a high energy place like an office, not buried in a cupboard.
    Thanks for sharing.

Yes the horns actually do move, the legs, (back and forth) and the, the back piece, like the back fin, is removable.

The horns are movable as well, and the back fin piece is removable. Body is rigid.

Ok, so he was exploring caves, in the hills of Newhall California, which is in Southern California. He spotted the tail coming out coming out of the dirt in the area outside one of the caves.
