Featured Unusual 14k YG Amethyst Diamond & Enamel Ring

Does anyone know the correct terminology for the type of enamel used in this ring? I am aware of plique d'jour and cloisonne, guilloche, etc. Not sure about this one?

The enamel-work is 'basse-taille' - transparent enamel over a 'low-relief' texture or design...

It's not to my particular taste, but it's a nice ring.

 

I unashamedly admit I would absolutely sport that sucker ! Like I tell people when Im accused of being gaudy "its the Cuban in me" .

 

I'm not a lime green girl - too many Yankee ancestors (and I look lousy in it). Kelly green and I'd cheerfully grab it.

 

I prefer the amethyst to the peridot. But that topaz and teal one is really cool.
