Not sure why it would make a difference, but I said his 'main production' - he did work on vases, bottles, bowls, and other objects, but the panels were what paid the bills.

While clearly not his work, Robert McCandless did geometric motifs similar to the first two pieces, decent selection of his pieces can be found on eBay.

This deeply sandblasted small vase by Judy Via is also on eBay:

I want to thank you both, @ritzyvintage and @DragonflyWink, for this fascinating technical discussion of the methods of how to create these bottles. Insights into how these pieces are created greatly enhances their value in my eyes. It also gives me and the others who read your posts an insight into what to look for. I really very appreciate you taking the time to provide your thoughts.

Citing sources is an important rule regarding copyright law. I have just posted a thread containing all the Forum Rules in General Discussion, or they can be viewed in Announcements & Rules.

There is a huge difference between sand-blasted and acid bathed glass, and even more so if/when the glass consists of more than one colour. The final texture of the glass will also be different.

My photo clearly shows the source: eBay

Not guilty in this instance. My photo clearly shows its source. I will remember the rule in the future now that a Moderator of this site has pointed it out.
    Thank You

Please show a source that includes the information that would affirm your assertion that it is a "Studio glass acid-bathed bottle", rather than just a random image with an 'eBay' watermark - would be useful if it included the artist's name so that it might be confirmed the techniques they typically used...

@i need help It may be a good idea for a Moderator to remind ALL new members to read The Terms & Conditions as soon as they join, rather than being preached to by other members who may or may not have read the rules themselves. All sites are different, and I certainly don't want to break any rules here, made by the site owners... It can be very confusing when joining such sites. I know this as I moderate a site of my own.

I understand the confusion of joining a new site and getting a feel for how things work.

It is good for all members to review the Rules every so often in any case.

Senior members try to point out things and are not trying to preach, but rather guide.

In any case things seem to have been clarified and perhaps will move on from here.

I’m interested hearing about either of these techniques. I remember a similar discussion on this exact same subject regarding a vase by a Canadian glass artist.

There is definitely much confusion about the names and terms used between countries when describing different glass-types and finishes etc. Opaline, Opal, Opalescent for example, and Custard glass, frosted glass, flashed glass and stained glass are just a few names & terms used differently. Etched or engraved? is another example of this, as is also heat sensitive glass, cased glass, Vaseline glass, and Uranium glass. Ruby, Cranberry, overlay, mould blown, press-moulded, free blown, mouth blown, lamp-worked, flame-worked, Mother of Pearl, the list is almost endless. Some of the above are the same glass with different terms/names applied subject to country of origin... Most terms tend to originate from the country or factory in which they were developed, however certain glass-types will always be governed by the same methods of manufacture. The first link gives a few terms as commonly used in USA, however some may be termed differently in other countries and this only adds to the confusion. All 3 links will provide good basic information @KikoBlueEyes

Poor thing. After you had loaded everything! That is awful. So much work involved. When you have a chance, it would be helpful if you could work your magic.

This is the (obviously) blue bottle bottom.....I decreased some of the distraction “noise” and contrasted a bit....not sure it helped any.....? “RETIA” ?

And this is the second and clear bottle....Could that be a “BM” or “BU” or “BY”......might be something else above & left of the ‘Potential’ B....????

So that's the Sad Fish Mouth Glassworks? Interesting marketing strategy. :hilarious::hilarious::hilarious::hilarious::hilarious: I'll try those combinations. Thanks so much for doing this!
