    I saw this ad today on Craigslist. I’m NOT buying this. I was just curious how many different items and parts are here.
    This is the ad;
    Unique and really cool antique tea pot. A great looking piece. Has a dented handle. I have see these sell for $150.00. Asking $50.00 but will accept any reasonable offer. I've been looking for a samovar (particularly an imperial Russian one) for a while now. I'd snatch it up at that price. Looks pretty complete. Do you know if it has any marks?

    There's something a bit suspect about it's construct though. Looks kinda shoddy compared to the finer Tula ones I've seen. Maybe a more recent Turkish one?

    That’s what I was thinking, looks like some weird construction, marriage, and a bitter divorce.

    There is no mention of marks. That was what I was wondering, if that even is a teapot. Handle and spout look soldered. :confused:

    Wow, I didn't notice that the handle was soldered, too. Now I'm staring at it, trying to figure out if it's something else... :nailbiting:

    Don’t go crazy, this is purely for entertainment! But yes, I thought it’s not even a teapot, too!

    I love the listing, seller with a great sense of humour. Thank you for showing us, hunting.
    As for the samovar, probably semaver, it has been through the wars. Or someone has been playing American football with it. A lot of bad soldering, dodgy handles, bent tap, ditto teapot finial.... They would have to pay me to take it. And I like samovars.
    As I said, probably a semaver. That is what they are called in Turkey and part of the Balkans. They are also used in Iran.
