2 Cali Landscape

    The second one is by Minnie Elizabeth Kemper. The other one is not signed. Possibly by the same artist?

    Looks like same artist to me.

    Have you removed it from the frame to see if the signature is covered?

    I have not. However, according to the sticker on the back, they were both framed by the same California company, so I doubt they would cover the siggy with the frame.

    Never say never. Many times Ive found signatures covered by the frame.These are really lovely.

    I love them, but they are not necessarily by the same artist. The cloud treatments look quite different, but then the mountain outlines look the same. Why do these period paintings (I'd guess the 50's) still resonate so strongly given how high-tech the world has become?
