Antique SP Jewellery Box Help

    Can I get some help with this please? I appreciate it’s not jewellery per se but felt this would be the best forum.

    I would really like to date this and find out what the W23 stamp means?

    Going by the tarnish on the corners I think this is silver plate?

    The box measures 14cm x 7cm x 5.5cm.

    Thanks for looking and any suggestions or advice given.
