Can anyone give me any insight into this vase? Brand, type age, value or ?? I ended up with it from my parents, have no idea where they got it. It's somewhat unique with the "appliqued" flowers on it, Is hand painted and unmarked (save for a 'made in Italy' sticker on the bottom which looks original and old.) One of the petals on the raised flowers is chipped off.

I've always been curious about it and use it from time to time.....TIA!

If you search for "satin glass" floral vase "made in italy" - you'll see quite a few results on ebay etc... the brand "Norleans" seems to be common - probably no way to know which brand specifically sold your vase, and probably made in the last 50 years-ish. I'm sure it has more sentimental value than resale value. It's pretty! I'd hang onto it and enjoy using it :)

These were usually made in one of the factories in Empoli.

Norleans was an import company, thought it was Japanese in origin.

The satin glass vases with gold trim and floral designs were popular import items around the 1960s-70s.

When I was looking for items similar to this one I found several with Norleans stickers that say made in Italy. Perhaps they imported from there in lesser quantities.

I could be wrong. I haven't done any investigation into the company.
    Just remember seeing the stickers.
Don't remember the Made in Italy part.

Norleans, like a lot of import companies, wasn't too fussy about where their wares came from.
