Featured helpy help with this brass gong pls

    Hi all
    i am trying to find as much information on this gong as possible. value, year, maker any other history would be a great help. just not sure what to do with it :/

    Have the butler ring the family for dinner. :hilarious:

    The design registration number is from 1896. But of course that's not necessarily the year manufactured, just the earliest possible.

    'Burmese' mark found on dinner gongs of the period c1880-1910. One of their gongs carries a design registration of 281240 which was registered in 1896 to William Suckling of 35, Albion Street, Birmingham, electro plate and gong manufacturers.

    I'm so grateful that people take the time to make such helpful sites and I worry that they'll go away. Just checking some old links that I transferred from my old computer that were to some great sites, I'm so sad that so many no longer exist.
