whats it,long wood handle heavy duty tool 3.5" long

    has a 1" hole to slide on something,with a set screw type lock?,large diameter wood about 2.5" tapering to 1.75",,,note the wings?THATS 3.5 FEET LONG 001.JPG 002.JPG 003.JPG

    There seems to be some letters on the metal head...2nd photo between the screw heads and 3rd photo, just below the collar. Can you make out what the letters are?

    I was going to say....something for tamping down with an add on weight, that is until I saw there was a hole in the end.....now I've got "nuttin'"......:sorry::sorry:

    railroad jack ? hydraulic pump handle ?

    thats what i been thinking,would be one big jack???...giving up on this one:(

    railroad jacks are rather big, just imagine the height of a boxcar where you need a jack that is at least 4 to 5 feet high to get under the main frame.
    did you try to open that screw ? might hide a ball and spring to keep it in place.

    Does that screw come through on the side opposite the head? If so, the screw is there to hold the handle onto the basic machine.

    the screw is short about 1/2",buggered up/worn out/or broken off.,,,at one time i would say it contacted what ever slid in the 1" diameter hole....i give?
