Green Beaded Necklace on Twisted Wire ?

    It is not malachite,may be aventurine.

    I agree, it looks like aventurine. With that twisted goldwire it could be India.

    Sure looks like. Aventurine almost for certain. I've never seen a necklace constructed exactly that way but the Indians do similar things.

    Thanks to all of you. A good many of the stones are rough on the edges. For 50 cents I could not pass it up.

    Great buy. It is lovely, and made in a traditional way, which makes it more interesting to me. For Indian wear the stones would be chosen according to a person's astrological chart.
    It could be from Rajasthan or Gujarat.
