Hello everyone
I have no idea why I swapped 50 pennies for this poor doggy but I quite like him

Thought I'd show him here as I have already freaked out my entire fam and half of Facebook. No one likes him surprisingly but I do a bit.

Just thought I'd show the poor thing here. He has a crack all the way through his bod that someone has glued ( someone else must have quite liked him at one time!) and half his mouth has gone. Poor doggy.

Oh I do have a question, what is he made of? Some sort of stone. He's about 5 inches if that helps at all xxx

Pity about the damage. It is a very nicely carved soapstone foo dog, for good luck and protection. As I always say, what more can you want?
My guess is 1930s, but he could be older. And you're right, it is a boy. When they rest one paw on a ball, they are male.

He is cute in a weird way...I am placing him outside the door and hoping he keeps bad people away ( ie anyone that's not a doggy ) ( or a cat ) ( or any animal almost ) x x x

Smol but perfectly formed, I'd say. He is very cute, the lid of a lidded vase, probably Japanese.

He looks a leetle like my smol-but-perfectly-formed-also Cocker, Jude Boi...think that's why I like him
(He IS a boy,he was getting into character for World Book Day as Violet Elizabeth Bott from Just William <3 as my girl dog has short hair )
