Found these at an estate sale. I have searched the internet for something similar but I haven’t seen anything. I was wondering if someone might have an idea on the period, maker, value.... anything... lol. Thanks!

Welcome, seaweed! It looks from the pictures like these are open at the bottom, with something like an internal flower frog down there? Does the ceramic body enclose that area or not? Do the lower "stands" come off or are they permanently affixed?

These are oil lamp bases. You're missing the font, chimney, and shade for each.

This is a complete set in a different glassware pattern:

Honestly, I see orphaned bases frequently. Unless someone is looking for that exact piece (plus matching glass color, matching paint, matching metalwork, etc), they appear to be a pretty hard sell. Same if you're looking for pieces to complete each of yours. YMMV, of course...

Thanks! I LOVE them and I wouldn't sell them. They are in my living room on top of a bookcase.

You're welcome. Several manufactures made this style. Perhaps someone will know the maker, if you ever think about finding a matching shade. If you want to look through eBay for other examples, try keywords glass banquet lamp, parlor lamp, or gone with the wind lamp / GWTW lamp (a term made up by collectors).

That's a good idea. Perhaps we can get someone famous / influential to promote an alternative use for these. I see at least 1 to 2 a week in my treasure hunts.

The problem was I was searching vases. I thought the inside was a frog. I love them just the way they are. They look lovely on my bookcase. I paid $20 each. I am always treasure hunting and I have never seen anything like them. But I love that you were able to solve my mystery. Thanks again!

When I bought them they had potpourri in them....lol So that could be another use!

If they were mine, I would find a glass jar that would fit as close to possible inside.

I have several plants growing in water. Hoya does well in water, Philodendren is another.
