Same Garage, Different SILVER

OK, second mystery item. This is a silver cup from the same garage where I dug out the 2 Egyptian silver pieces I posted about yesterday.

This is a single-handled cup standing 4-3/4" tall to top of handle.
The first image above is of the hallmarks on the bottom, only identifying marks I could find. They are imperfectly struck and/or worn, especially to the right and bottom, so I am not sure how to read them. My best guess is "POC" or "ROC" for the top line, then "0905" for the next line (but the last digit is incomplete), and then there is something below that which it too little to even guess at.
My hope is that perhaps someone will RECOGNIZE these marks and be able to fill in the blanks...
Aside from the marks, perhaps someone can tell me something based on the decoration, which includes 2 opposing dragons (or "sea monsters"?) on each side. One side also sports a monogram that looks like "LAG".
Another interesting point is that all of the dragons' wings are indented into the side of the cup, obviously by design.
Any information or opinions on this piece will be welcome. I'm looking forward to your comments... Paul

I was also going to ask about that "solder" looking place.

There is something about the "letters" on the bottom (don't ask me what) that is making me think South America.

 

It looks like it was repaired at some point,there is enough solder to solder 4 or more bases to the cups.The handle doesn't look original either,it has mold flashing ,lack of cleanup after casting and poor soldering to the cup.The chasing of the designs on the cup looks good though.

 

Yep, I agree with all of the above; handle does look crude, compared to the cup. It's a mystery... Cup decor is really cool, though!

Could it be 090S, for .900 silver? .900 silver is used in many parts of the world.
I don't think I've ever seen the birds with dragon heads before, but they remind me of Persian mythical beings like the Huma. The combination of refined and crude workmanship is also something you see in the Middle East, but in that part of the world Latin script would only be used by ex-pats.
Anglo-Indian Indo-Persian maybe? So a Persian inspired object made for British colonial use during British rule in India? That would place it in Northern India (Indo-Persian). The silversmiths during the British 'Raj' used different silver grades and the quality varied.

.900 silver is also used in parts of South America, a hunch which Bakers already had.

 

Ha-ha, well, the story of my life is, I don't tend to ask easy questions... So this one is still a mystery - but at least it's an interesting one!
I do appreciate all the comments, and I expect there's some truth in there, somewhere.
I suppose I'll just put it up at auction as the mystery it is, and hope for the best.

For scale, this is only 1-5/8" tall, stand and all.

The mark looks Peruvian. Those "dragons" look like seagoing llamas, so it would make sense.

Oh, this just gets better and better - but still not conclusive...
I've heard of sea horses; sea llamas is a fun thought!
Has anyone noticed the picture where the tails of the "dragons" (from the opposite sides of the cup) appear to come together and intertwine (or maybe those are separate from the beasts)? The little flourishes protruding from them remind me of the stylized fins(?) often seen on Asian dragons.
