A LOT of work went into the making of it, VERY nice .. I'd suggest trying to sell it before giving it to the dogs .. even though they're cute as can be ... Joy.

 

Given your location, doubt it's an American quilt, looks like someone's memory/scrap quilt done in the English paper piecing method (not that isn't done here, have done it myself) - Ton Sur Ton was a 1980s American clothing label with French roots, that patch is cut from some, apparently knit, clothing item...

Interesting mix of fabrics, those quilted patches are different - seem to recall having a little black silk quilted jacket in the '80s. Has a sort of 'Boho' look to it, guessing it will sell...

Lots of time went into that quilt!!

 

Definitely NOT a dog blanket, unless it's a very pampered pooch. It's not a quilt pattern I've ever been crazy enough to try.
