This beautiful painting to me looks very nice. I do not have much experience judging Art but I kind of like it it is very colorful give me your opinion I would appreciate your input thanks everybody. The painting is about 40 in x 29 inches. I came came across that spending in the local antique store in Mount Vernon.
It's a nice painting I tried doing some research on the artist "borges" but couldn't find nothing. Most likely someone who liked to paint in their free time as I do see it as an amateur style of work
Looks like a souvenir painting. And it does have charm. Could be from a number of places, anywhere that is tropical, Spanish- or Portuguese-speaking and has flame trees. Debora

Hi there! As soon as I saw this it reminded me of growing up in Puerto Rico. There is a tree in Puerto Rico we called El Flamboyan" or flamboyant one. The tree in your painting looks like this tree or as its officially called "delonix regia." I am no expert but that's what I first thought. Hope this tidbit helps. And, lovely painting
Puerto Rico a very good possibility. Here's a similar effort from there with many of the same elements. Debora
While, your artist is not one of the Florida Highwaymen, I can't help but be reminded of them. http://www.authenticflorida.com/art...orida-s-highwaymen-historic-outsider-artists/
