Featured 570g silver gilt filigree basket

    Hello

    Please help me find a date/country for this treasure. It's a silver gilt filigree handled basket/bucket.

    9.5cm height excluding handle, 14cm rim diameter
    570 grams

    The lower rim has what I thought was a silver mark, but with a loupe might just be dents/scratches(last photo).

    It is stunning, Ratsy. I have southern Italian flower basket earrings with filigree flowers with the same shape petals. Made in Arezzo, so I am inclined to say Arezzo, Italy.

    I can't even get close to reading that mark, but it does want to sing in Italian to me too. The flowers look wrong for the other side of the Adriatic.

    Firm toothbrush and silver cream. The filigree is thick enough I didn't have to be too gentle with cleaning.

    Use a foaming polish, you can wash it away and it doesn't leave any paste behind to dry into pink crust!
