Featured Little art pottery jug

    Found this little 3 1/2" pottery jug today for a pound

    Thought the drill holes made it look interesting

    Hard to explain the glaze, spongeware?

    Unmarked, wondering the age, maker

    Any thoughts appreciated

    could the drilled holes been for stones or some other added decoration?
