Featured Bed frame age

Hello! I recently purchased this twin/single sized bed frame at auction. The description was “French fruitwood acanthus bed”. I’d love to figure out the age of it. It appears be hand carved. The only markings are the numbers on each post (see photos).

Thinking 1920s on this.

 

Thanks! Is there a specific design element about it that makes you think 20s? I tried to research this but got overwhelmed!

 

The overall shape of the headboard and footboard. I would say they're right about the "French" part of the description. The carving is "cottagey" in style and has the kind of shallow depth you'd expect to find in the early 20th Century. Its not impossible, however, that it could be a tad earlier.

I have been looking a wood headboards on marketplace a long time to purchase and none I have seen are up to this level of carving. They are nice but not as nice as this.

As far as actual I information goes I’ll let the real furniture people comment : -)

 

It’s not in perfect condition but I can overlook the flaws. I’ve never seen anything like it.
