Featured brass boho choker necklace

found this in the same shop as i found the buckles

looks like a missing piece on the round part

any idea where it came from,or age, 70s ish? cant work out what the animal is ?

havent been able to find anything

any thoughts appreciated

 

It is made by the Miao, or neighbouring official Chinese Ethnic Minorities. The curved decorated ends of the choker are typical of their work.
The animal looks like a squirrel to me.

the squirabbit although rare and elusive, disappointingly again tastes like plain ol chicken

 

I think bunny & the elements that suggest a tail are just decorative. I know rabbits turn up in Chinese art; how common are squirrels?

 

The ears are very small for a rabbit, so it is a squirrel to me.

Pretty common.
