I've had this for a while, but haven't been able to find it in a search. I bought it because it was heavier than most small Chinese cloisonné pieces that I've held at almost 11 oz. The color is also different, I only have seen a few pieces in this color. It is quite small at 4 1/2 inches tall and 3 inches in diameter at the shoulders. It it just some Chinese export junk or something interesting. Inquiring minds want to know. Any thoughts appreciated.

I have no idea if it is Chinese tourist-ware, but it is a very sweet piece.

Nice colours, I like the somewhat squat shape too. Probably 1960s-70s.
Yes, many were made for export, but that is not a problem imo. It is still traditional, and not pretending to be something it is not.

Agree, it looks much better than most from this period though, the thicker walls and the more even form of the cloud wires to the ground. The clouds are an auspicious symbol of good omen, the word for cloud is a homophone of good luck in Chinese

Thank you. I was hoping for older. I don't buy much cloisonné, though I love it, because I don't know how to assess it. I will learn, if you don't mind teaching me.

Thank you very much. At least, I picked something out that wasn't total junk. :) I liked the very small details too. I thought they pointed to better quality. I'll keep searching for older pieces, though.
