I acquired this today at a local thrift shop. im very new to glass buying and this candy dish kind of stood out to me. Couldnt find one online exactly like mine so was wondering if anyone here could give me more info on it? It could be blown glass but im honestly not sure. There are no seams on it at all. Just has a nice look to it and couldnt find any makers mark or anything like that. If anyone has any info that would be great thanks! also the glass is a little more pinker in person than it shows in the photos. candy2.jpg candy3.jpg candy4.jpg candy5.jpg candy1.jpg

It measures 5 3/4 in tall and 6 3/4 in wide. I tried holding it it up to the light and moved it around a little bit to see if it changed color but it still stayed pink. The base of the dish is clear glass.

Take it out into the sun and see if anything happens.

I took it outside and did notice the edges of the dish kind of turned a purple color but the bottom part stayed mostly pink. Do you think it might be blown glass? I tried doing more research late last night but couldn't find anything like mine

    Probably.
I would look to current (last 20 years) Italian and Chinese glass imports to see if you can find any similar.

Let me add, that I am only guessing. Those would be my starting points.

I don't think it is old. To see if it changes color you need to move it from incandescent light into fluorescent light. Ibelieve it willchange to a blue color in fluorescent light.

upload_2018-10-20_22-53-25.png This one is English. Notice how thin the glass rim and feet are compared to yours. Yours is much thicker. Also the feet on the English one are cross hatched. Something I have seen on one particular maker whose name is not coming to me at the moment.

I'm sorry, yours is not Victorian. Nor is it cranberry.

The oldest I would think yours could be is 1950s-60s. But I really think it is newer than that. This is my personal opinion.

This looks molded and then manipulated to finish. I can not see the connection between the stem and bowl well enough to guess weatner it is one piece af the stem was attached. Looks newer too me also.
