I found this today at a local thrift store; I took it as soon as I saw the nude because they always seem to sell!
But I also was intrigued with the look; kind of a Louis Icart feel + I saw the 1941 - but then I saw Moss & Co. on the other side?
Can anyone make out the artist name? (I see Walter B?)
Ever heard of Moss & Co.?
    Any thoughts on the print?
    Thank you
PS - Sorry I noticed in pics I didn't erase the $39 price in sharpie before taking photos!

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

Sorry, @journeymagazine, I haven't heard of a Moss & CO., but I was able to enhance the siggy just a bit.....I "think" I see 'Walter Braggles' or 'Bruggles', but I could also be wrong.....maybe others can see if they see anything else.....or not.....I don't always succeed.......I also "think" I see 1921 or 1923.....again....I could be wrong.......waiting to get one cataract done!!!!!

Almost forgot.....she's a very soft, sweet and discreetly done nude! I think she'll sell well!!

1941; the model's hairstyle jibes with that date.

Can you post a better image of the signature? It's pretty washed out.

Maybe we should pin this, but anyone can go into findart.com and look up artists. They grant free access to what you see below, but you won't be able to access images or signatures.

Here's the list of Walter Brough's auctions. Reclining Nude sold as a pastel, so I'm assuming it's an original. If it's an eBay result it could be incorrect, as people frequently identify prints as original. Print dimensions may be different, that's one way to tell.

Yeah, findart free can be a nice shortcut, but with no image... It's a start.

It helped in identifying the artist's name, for sure. :)
