Featured Cast Iron Boot Bookends? - Old or New

    I'm thinking these 8 3/4 inch tall cast metal bookends? or door stops are older, because the black felt on the bottom is frayed and missing on the edges. But this also could be abuse, so I don't know. The style of boot is older, but that could be because it is a reproduction of an earlier era. They have little wear or damage, but since books do not leak or have corrosive surfaces, they are not generally tough on surrounding surfaces. They could have lead a very sheltered life amongst the books. Who knows? Any thoughts, ideas, guesses on age or anything else will be welcomed.

    Wow. Those are wild! I can see what you mean. If they were old, they would better approximate the style correctly. Thank you.
