Rob, I've taken the liberty of reposting your photographs as Full Image so they're easier for everyone to see.

Gut feel is Indonesian, but we need photos of the construction and innards, please.

I think a recent Indonesian import is a very good supposition. (And someone should be treating that cut glass bowl with more care.)

Maybe a mod can move your thread to the Furniture category, you may get more looks there. @i need help @daveydempsey
I'd also advise, for future posts, to put some indicator in the title of what your stuff is. Vague titles such as "What is this?", etc, don't always get the right people looking. Something like, "Any thoughts on these two wood cabinets?" would do you better. :)

Thanks .. I know these have been in their family for over 40 years, but other than that, I have no idea. I will let them know about the bowl.

Also, Rob, if you have information about the provenance of pieces, please share it in your initial post.

Agree that these are newer. Suppose they could be Indonesian but you don't usually see them working in pine. Maybe India or Mexico. Also suppose these could be American from a small workshop. A lot of so-called primitive furniture gets cobbled together here in the States.

In my opinion , one needs to see things like screws, hardware , wear on bottom of drawer slides etc to say they are new or newer , I have a family piece home made in the early 1900's which could very well be mistaken for a Mexican pine piece, but it is not . Does it have any staples in it's construction ? are there screws that are slotted flat heads ? If so , can you take one out ? I'm with @verybrad ,I don't see this as being Indonesian at all...just my 2cents worth .
