that's one of there nicest Paris street scenes I've ever seen here,,,,,
the frame alone must have cost over 300 bucks...

I think there may be a gentle hint of sarcasm in this post

I do my own bevel edged Mount cutting and that’s a fine quadruple job.
If you show the back of the picture you might see a label with contact details as to which gallery framed it and they may know more about the artist.

I believe the artist is Douglass Chun from what I can find

I used to complain about getting hand cramps doing paperwork at my job, can you imagine signing an edition of 1950, Yikes! I think for a decorative item it looks nice and I would think a buyer would pay a little premium on what you paid. It reminds me of Thomas Kinkade.

To me this doesn’t look like his work at all.
Yours is more like Christa Kieffer in style and subject matter. Not saying this is hers though.

I think you may be right. I was looking for a match on the signature without matching the painting style as well.

Do you think the frame would be worth more on its own?

Signature does not match with hers.

    Not even close...!

We've seen dozens of Paris street scenes here....& I've found most of them....slapdash & careless ......whereas this one...... I enjoy the composition...the colours....and there's a happiness to it !

As for the frame.......I've been framing fine art , paintings and serigraphs for 30 years.......
A frame..with 4 mats and an inner wood trim......normally that's gonna cost you a shitload of cash ,,,,,

@Nick Grady .....keep the print in the frame......the frame was made for it......and finding another work of the same size to fit the bill.....next to impossible !

While frames can cost a lot to put together.......they rarely retain their value....without the intended artwork being still present..!
    imho...
