Haven’t found much in the chazzas lately but here’s some black plastic beads, glass beads, pink glass brooch and lucite roses brooch. Nothing cost over £1.50.

I have a thing for carved lucite flowers myself. The pink one almost looks German.

I haven't posted much in quite a while, haven't been thrifting much since Covid...been spending a lot more time on other hobbies actually, but I do lurk here and have enjoyed everyone's finds. Today I ducked into a Savers to shop for some jeans. Spotted this and snatched it up for $7. TIFFANY & CO sterling goblet/trophy from a 2018 golf tournament... 5.5 inches tall...220 grams. I hit it w a sunshine cloth, was pretty smudged up. Felt good to find some treasure again! 20210707_223556-01_copy_1080x1440.jpeg 20210707_223607-01_copy_1080x1440.jpeg 20210707_223455-01_copy_1080x1440.jpeg 20210707_223507-01_copy_1080x1440.jpeg 20210707_223519-01_copy_1080x1440.jpeg 20210707_223539-01_copy_1080x1440.jpeg 20210707_220542-02_copy_652x489.jpeg

On Wednesday when I was thrifting, I looked at all the jewelry and was browsing the rest of the store. Kids clothes were on sale for 25 cents each, and a lady in line ahead of me had at least 30 of these items, so I checked out the jewelry displays again. This guy was a dollar, 14k.

I stopped in at an antique mall that has very few errors since the owner checks out everything as it comes in the door. I didn't have my loupe, but I new this wasn't plated.

Marked 14kp for karat plumb. Made my day.
The Kings pattern is USN with the fouled anchors.
This is my personal silverware pattern-my uncle who was in the Navy for 20 years gave my a set, and I add to it.

The oldest human made antiques I've owned.

Friday I bought a huge private collection of mixed world coins, lots of silver, lots of 19th, 18th, 17th century coinage and these.

    Obverse and reverse.

The guys on the Ancient section of CoinTalk just identified them for me.

Basically the first 9 are Ptolemaic 330 BC, the last two are Seleucid Empire 312 BC

There was also a Byzantine coin below, but that is only 1028-1034 AD, fairly modern compared to the others.:hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:

I guess I'll have to create a drawer in my cabinet for them, I have a few Roman coins so I'll have my very own Ancient section.

I see lots of heads of Zeus obverses & double eagle reverses. What was the original value of the coins in their words?

    Emendation: Ammon-Zeus.

I don't know the original values or denominations, its way out of my league.
I won't be buying the books.

I'll put a notation on each coin sleeve so they can be identified in the future.
