A question - Do 78 RPM Vinyl Records sell ?

We have come across many old 78 rpm vinyls from our family house while in the process of doing a house clearance. I can't name them at the moment but do these sell ?

The local vinyl record shop was not interested in 78's at all.

If you do a search on eBay you will see that they do sell but it all depends on the genre, the artist & the song.

It all depends on how much time you want to spend on them. To sell individually would be time-consuming & people who collect vintage vinyl are going to be extremely picky regarding condition.

An option for you is to list them locally on Craig's List or on Facebook Marketplace for local pick-up. Depending on the number of records you have you need to decide how much you will want to get for them.

My guess is a dealer who sells vintage vinyl will likely be your buyer.

For clarity, 78s are shellack, 45s and 33.3s are vinyl. There are a few exceptions, but that's the rule.
They are still very easily found in thrift stores and estate sales for $1 each, along with the other record speeds.
