Bizzare Seafood Piece

    I bought this really bizarre piece today. Looks like it’s from 1994. But I don’t know what of all the writing is the artist? Anyone familiar with this at all?

    The challenge will be determining what language it's written in. I suspect an eastern European. Both Estonian and Latvian came up on Google translation but only for some of the words. Of course, part of the inscription seems to be in English - "Profound respect."

    Chișinău is the capital of Moldova. Google Translate identifies the language as Romanian. "For the lady Diane Weyermann with deep respect and consideration." Wonder if this is she:

    It's on the bottom right of the painting and bottom right of the border.

    And, to my eye, it's indecipherable.

    Yes, two copies of the signature as Hollyblue mentioned. You can see both in photo #5.

    It's such an unusual piece, maybe contact the framer, which Debora linked above. It's so unique, they might remember it and have the artist's name.

    I'm a big believer in asking. Never hurts. Or contact the woman appears to have deaccessioned it from her collection.
