    The wire work on the original necklace looks like it was done by hand, not mechanically.

    Thanks. I've seen these on sale. They are similar, but mine is completely covered in crystals.

    Have a look very very closely at the link I gave. There are crystals at the base of the dome too. Don't try too hard to say it's not the same dome because the one I found sold for a lot of money. Now I'll try to find it again to prove that.

    How can I dream if I got it out of a pile of nonsense at a flea market and paid $ 1 !!!!

    @Tahmoor girl

    Actually, if you look very, very closely at the link YOU provided, the title says: Faux Diamond Pearl Tassel Necklace and the description/about says: Faux pearl diamond domed tassel necklace. So, neither the diamonds nor the pearls are real. Also, it doesn't even claim to have sold for that price, just that it is no longer available. Listing prices on 1stDibs is not a reliable source.

    Also the domes are different in shape and execution.
    And the faux pearls are round and graduating in size towards the bottom, whereas Aznathalie's pearls are cultured, irregularly shaped freshwater pearls.
    It is gorgeous, but again, a different crown and different pearls.;)

    Keep looking, you never know. The style was popular in the '80s, the age of bling, and apparently they are still being made.

    You're welcome.
    As always, the devil is in the detail, so checking every detail of the tassels you come across will help a lot. You can also post them here, and we will help you check.:)

    Is Chanel worth anything? I run into a CRAP load of it, and usually ignore it.

    It is if it is real Chanel. Most are fakes though.:(

    Here's another photo of the sautoir. With a ruler, you can see how small the crystals are. CM210815-162509002.jpg CM210815-162724005.jpg CM210815-162945006.jpg CM210815-164359007.jpg CM210815-164532008.jpg CM210815-164833009.jpg

    Ah, I see. Well, fakes are common round here too :(. From fake silver, to fake Rolexes, to fake Pokemon cards, and even counterfeit cash (collectible and spendable), I gotta sort through it EVERY time I buy at that flea market. At least I usually also get stupidly cheap items out there, so eh. Makes up for the time I spent 10$ on a counterfiet 1877 Indian Head Penny, 20 on a heat damaged silver dime, and the dozens of fake 925 rings I have bought in my life time.

    Yours looks like genuine freshwater pearls all over the chain in the necklace and the tassel piece. I am thinking newer due to the wire wrap work.
