Featured French gilded bronze beauty

Hello all. I found a beautfil little work of art this weekend, just want to check i have the details correct before i try and sell; i think late 19th century, french, gilt bronze with carved agate bowl. Im not sure if the beads are glass or agate.

5" tall
Have i missed anything there? Would it be called a compote?

 

Nice bowl,it was probably carved at Idar-Oberstein.

I have my doubts about age.
the angel that has the thick legs of a putto, but the face of a grown up. the crude casting. the hole in the middle that makes me think it once had another bowl fixed by a long threaded rod. the rim of the bowl machine-lapped.

What does the rim of the bowl being "machine-lapped" have anything to do with age?

 

I do too.
The gold gilt looks like the 1970s heavily applied. Overall the sharp detail just isn't there.

Just want to add, that it is still an attractive decorative piece.

 

Thanks for all your input. There does seem to be some inconsistency in style between the legs, putto and the vines. I will file this under ''urther research needed' for now
