Does this work?

If you click on a person's profile, and hit the Ignore button, does it really work?

 

It does, I have done it.

p.s.
You can only read this if haven't put me on ignore.

 

Does it just hide the post, but still show the user's name? i.e. you could click a "Show' button or something to see the post. Or does is not even display to the person who Ignores them?

 

You don't get to see the user's name either. You only find out that the ignored person has replied, when someone else replies to his or her post and tags the name or quotes the reply.

I find I have both....one where I see the persons avatar....with the message....you are ignoring this person...........and two....where i see nothing at all ....but some small script on the upper right saying......show ignored content....

maybe it makes a difference if you go to your own name upper right....and the menu drops down with... ' people u ignore'

I have used it in the past but stopped after just a few days. It got difficult to follow the flow of some threads so I just started to skim right past the member's posts.

Fortunately for me, the members with who I had issues have either pretty much disappeared from the forum or post very infrequently.
