9ct on silver Cufflinks stone

Hi all

Found these today in our local charity shop

Being loupless, I couldn't tell what the mark said, but thought they looked quite nice anyways

The middle stones looks odd, can't work out what they are, thought they were just a brushed metal at first but unsure now

Not sure how thick the gold on them would be, like a plating ?

Any thoughts appreciated

 

looks like they were made to resemble mabe pearls......but wdik ?

 

Yeah, I was thinking the same buddy

Don't think they'd be real ones on a plated silver, plus they are on the large size

Maybe cultured ?

 

Did you do the tooth test? Rub them against your teeth?

 

I'll just go and find them(my teeth that is)

They do look like pearls to me too..

 

I bought these for Mom at Birks.......... $$$........

 

do they seem the same ???

 

They seem to have alot more iridescence don't they, will try and get a better shot of mine in the daylight tomorrow

 

Mother of pearl, perhaps... Very gritty too
