Necklace--What type of beads are these?

Hello everyone!
I've been sorting through my jewelry lots. Some I have listed, some we are keeping, and some I am still researching. I am very stumped on thia one and not sure the photos will help identify it.
Beads are cold and heavy. Feel like some kind of stone?
Any info is appreciated!

The top one looks like "river stone", aka a fancy name for what I call Random Pretty Rock. The second one looks like Japanese glass beads. Some still have clay left in their cores, so they're not the more expensive European ones and the metal looks Japanese.

Does that make these pieces newer or older?

 

If I were guessing I'd say 1950 on the multicolor and 1980s on the river stone. Usually triple strands are earlier, 50s and 60s, but that stone was used later. Measure the shortest strand; that's the giveaway. The shorter it is the older it is.

The Japanese beads could be 80s too; the style was still being made then.
