Featured Little oil sketch landscape

Found this little oil at the weekend(unframed)

I Know it's probably an amateur piece, but has a little charm, I like these sketchy types and was only £2.50

Has he got something in his hand, birdy ?

Any insights or thoughts appreciated

I'm sure we'd all like to find masterpieces, but that ain't gonna happen very often if at all

But finding little amature charming pieces are far more obtainable and easier on the Wallet !

 

Do you think the gabled building is a dovecote? Something like this one?

I think it is very charming, and I have seen much worse quality. And it beats factory art any day, this has character.

 

This guy gambled on a painting for £50 on ebay, I won't spoil the outcome cause it's a great watch

Hi inh, yeah it probably is something like that, not meant to be necessarily painted on but something at hand

Quite thick, and a little warped, no staples though

 

I've a similar looking louvered cupola on my barn so it may be something like that. There is a hole in the roof just beneath it to vent the hot air out naturally. (though mine is in need of repair....it's on the to-do list)

 

A louvered cupola. Could very well be. Makes better sense attached to mill.
