She does not appear to be a ballerina, nor any other kind of dancer. Wish I could offer some terms that might help in a search. Other than barefoot...? Are her hands intact?

I asked because, although her posture and dress do not indicate she dances, her hands were not placed in that way randomly. I see it as a gesture of caution: right hand says, Hold on a minute; left, with the raised finger, says, Think about this...

Cast brass seems quite likely. I have no expertise in the area of manufacturing techniques.

Might be 30-40 years old but doubt from the 30s-40s. Don't see the quality I would expect to see from that era. Modeling and casting is pretty crude. Face looks like it was drawn in with a stylus.

She doesn't look like a ballerina. Could there have been something in her right hand?
S Wolf mentioned her legs had been broken but they were glued. Surely that would be difficult with brass? Maybe a ceramic with a bronze-like finish?

She danced so hard, her shoes came off and she broke her ankles. When her partner left her on the floor in embarrassment, she called after him........wait.....just one more dance?
    Happy Thanksgiving to all!
