    Hello all!
I have been searching a long time for the makers mark on the back of this Kewpie type doll. She is 6" tall and all plastic with strung arms in a red Christmas hat and outfit.
    No wings like original Kewpie, made in Japan marked;
    Made in Japan
    Passed N.C.W.U.T.A

On back of neck is "Made in Japan" under a triangle with K.I inside.
I find one with K.I the opposite but way too much time on this lol
If anyone knows I greatly appreciate the help.

    Not really.

From the photos, I'd say it was celluloid. If it is, then be very careful with it as it dents very very easily. It looks to be in very nice condition......amazing.

Definitely not a Kewpie. Not even a lookalike........

    20's to 40's era.

I have no idea on value, but if you search Ebay you might get an idea.

    I have a "Made in Japan" book (book 2.....I don't have 1)

There are a few triangle marks pictured, but yours is not one of them.

Thank you..yes I was researching and Kewpie has blue wings and less fingers.
It is in really good shape and celluloid sure does dent easy. There's so many lol none the same found yet. That K.I stumped me.

@Donna HA "Thank you..yes I was researching and Kewpie has blue wings and less fingers".

I'll repeat because you should know..... that even if it had wings and less fingers, it still wouldn't be a Kewpie.

You are not the first one that has trouble recognizing a true Kewpie and I hope you don't mind that I point this out. Plus the Japanese lookalikes don't cut the mustard with doll collectors.

I think it has something to do with side glance eyes that confuses people.

I don't think an ID on your doll really matters.........Made in Japan says a lot............

And I'm still amazed at the condition...........
