These are on Local FB marketplace. No info at all other than they are wood carvings. The long one looks quite interesting but no idea what it is for or where it could have been made. Any thoughts please? Thanks

The one one the right looks South Pacific somewhere, but beyond that I haven't a clue.

Thanks. I thought the one on the right was either South Pacific or Scandinavian. I thought it might be a door finger panel but really I’ve no ideas beyond that.
The other one could well be European as you say Bakersgma it has that look.
I’ve asked if they are still available to have a proper look at but the seller hasn’t replied yet.

The one on the right looks like a Maori bullroarer.

Remember Crocodile Dundee using the bush telephone, an Aborigine Bullroarer.

Thanks Komokwa, that looks like the pattern.
No info about sizes or anything else in the ad. I’ve just messaged the seller for sizes. She wants £5 each for them

I agree, Dayak, and very nice.

I would pass on that Benin thing, too touristy.

Well, I finally bought something (a bargain) off FB Marketplace. She didn’t tell me the size but i asked if it had a handle on the back and I could see from the new photo she sent that in relation to her hand it was bigger than I thought. Nearly 52 inches long, I originally thought it was about a foot long!
She said it had come out of a relatives pub, but who knows as it doesn’t smell of cigarettes at all.
I did pass on the other carving AJ after @2manybooks had mentioned the T word. As it is I think the Dayak piece has some age but it’s hard to tell and could be a tourist piece too but it does look good on the wall.

Good choice, and I like it very much. I agree, it has age, but how much is difficult to say. The handle has wear, so it has seen actual use. Hopefully not by pub patrons.

It’s a fair weight and very smooth everywhere.
I tried woodcarving classes a few years ago, much too difficult, hard on your hands and no chance fixing concentration lapses that you can get away with when working with clay.
