You're correct.........she is still an important part.........

 

And she looked so proud too. I have never seen the doll, I don't know what happened to it. She did keep her favourite dolls, and gave them to me to play with. I also played with two of my grandmother's dolls, from the 1890s. I was a very careful child, so they trusted me to take good care of them. My mother sold them all when we left Australia though.

 

Hopefully they are in the hands that love them today.

 

Oops, correction, she gave them away.

Yes..well to be totally accurate, a bit like the doll which started this thread it was a souvenir. Had a special doll to go with it too,that wasn't available anywhere else
