Interesting question (well, I think it's interesting:)): I have found a teacup with this china mark, but it's spelled incorrectly. These 2 villages exist in central Germany and this china was produced between 1913 and 1980. This item appears to be missing the "l" in Creidlitz. Any ideas?

Maybe they outsourced production of the mark decals, got a batch with the spelling mistake and used some before it was noticed. The other possibility is that it's a bogus mark. Yours does seem to say Creiditz.

I ordered an enameled sign once that was supposed to read Oil, but when it arrived, it read Iol.
