Help identifying this "stool"‽

    20211124_115948_remastered.jpg Top is solid wood, legs are too, but are attached. 13" tall by 10.5" in diameter.
    Top is concave by about an inch.

    Based udderly on the shape alone, that has to be a milking stool.

    To me it does not look like something to sit on so much as a stand of some sort.

    Quite short for a dough bowl, and not much depth to the bowl area. Also, even with its weight, I think it wouldn't be very sturdy for a vigorous working of the dough, not having a tripod (or legs around the perimeter) base?

    Considering that the concave area appears shallow and flat, I'm in agreement.
    An artisan-made display stand of some sort?

    Also want to know how a question mark and exclamation point are combined in the title of this thread. Am I the only one who sees it that way or can other people see it too?

    At this point I'm leaning towards mid-century modern Scandinavian designer item. Though I have no idea what it would be for.
