Delicate ink drawing on tissue tracing paper

    This looks beautifully and very intricately done. However how does one know it’s a freehand drawing and not a tracing?

    I'm of the belief that it's a tracing. It's too "stiff" to be "freehand" and I don't know of ANY quality artist who would choose to use tracing paper as the medium. I suspect this is very small and from a book, I've asked twice what size it is. This would also explain the orange foxing spots on the tissue, as shards from old steel plate etchings can mark up pages far beyond the old etching plate pages.

    Sorry I did a full description with sizes but I don’t know where it went I got deleted I will get you the sizes ASAP The image itself is 4 x 4 1/2
