    Hallo antique lovers

I am interested in this pendant. seller claims it is a 925 branded antique pendant with genuine opals and pearl. Before bidding, I would like to know from you whether the seller's claims could be correct and what is a correct price range for this one? 20211220_200420_copy_907x1612.jpg 20211220_200400_copy_907x1612.jpg

It is gorgeous, Hi. Looks like the seller is right.
It is Art Nouveau Revival, so not antique, but fairly recently made. Please don't let that stop you, it is lovely.
I have no idea of a reasonable price though, what is the asking price?

To avoid confusion, for the others, by 'branded' Hi means stamped.:)

Is it this one listed on eBay? I can’t find the page but you'll know if there’s more around and compare the price etc Ah I see this has a different attachments at the top.

No I can’t get the link, when I’ve tried I can’t find the pendant. I think you can see there’s at least 2 of these around or if not someone has added the rings at the top. As AJ says, not an antique.

If you like it and you're going to wear it, go for it. I have a weakness for plique-a-jour enamels myself.

It's the one I know at least. It's the name for the stained glass part of it. The enamel is baked into the holes with no metal in back of it. It was used by a lot of Art Nouveau jewelers. Google it and you'll see some. The enamel can be fragile and intact antique pieces can sell for thousands.

Is it on the Dutch MP?
Don't worry, I won't be bidding.;) Just that I know of a seller on MP who regularly sells recent plique-a-jour enamel jewellery. He won't settle for 50 euro.:sorry:
Good call. I did wonder about that, but didn't have anything to compare it too.
Hi, I'd pass.:( Damaged jewellery can still be beautiful, but a relatively new item like this should be pristine.

I hope you'll recover soon. Glad we can do our bit to make you feel better.
I never would. It is a non-official policy here that we don't bid if we know the member who first posted it wants to bid.
Wise decision, wait for an undamaged piece. There are new listings for beautiful jewellery on MP every day.
And if you come across listings where the items are near impossible to spot, please feel free to add the photos to this fun thread;):

Most of the photos I posted there are from MP.

Have you been tested for COVID, Hi2022? Those symptoms are the ones mentioned here in the US as indicators for the Omicron variant. Please consider. We don't want to lose any members to this scurge.
