Featured Inuit carved group with Fossilized skull?

    but maybe it's ...Ka Ra I........which might be close enuf....

    I have taken a look at a reference to the Sanikiluac artists and it is noted that the material they often use is called "argillite". Does the bird which I have posted photos of look like it is made of such argillite?

    Great information. I have found a great deal of information about her. Born 1947 and found image of a carved Ptarmigan which looks very much like the fine bird carving in my photos.

    Also wanted to note that the comments re:the fact that a seal would be harpooned rather than caught with a fishing line leads me to entirely reevaluate the presentation of this Grouping and I will post a photo when I get it set up the way it might be meant to be presented.
