    THAT makes me think of a cane my Mom had that I let go with the contents of the house....had a long knife on the inside.....STILL regret letting that go.......:oops::oops::oops:..... that site has a couple of Thousand canes!!!! But can't help with the mark....others may be able to...........

    I don't know what you mean by "Meed help" but the dates on the top (at 50 years apart) probably imply a 50th birthday gift.

    That is called a swordstick (or cane sword). Very useful when a Victorian gentleman accidentally strolled into a rough neighbourhood.;)
