My mother passed last week and she had these pieces. I can remember her having them for as long as I can remember, but I know nothing about them. I would appreciate any information!

    thanks in advance

Nice bombee commode (also called many other things) and what looks like a demilune oversize bedside table. At a glance, good quality, good condition, early to mid 20th century revival pieces, most likely French. Price is a local thing, but not too hot at the moment (hoping that changes). If that top drawer opens into a little secretaire, it would make it more interesting (to me anyway). As accent pieces, they could work well in a number of settings, I think.

Thanks so much for the information!! I had no idea where to look :)

these are beautiful pieces, and she has two night stands and the dresser so they will make a nice bedroom set. I have all the fun skeleton keys for the locking drawers.

this will help to be able to share this information with the family. My mom was Dutch so she loved that European antique styling.

do you happen to know when bought and where ? post WWII Italy restarted to produce all classical French styles again. a good original French set of Louis XV would cost you an arm and a leg. also search for "galbée" (paunched).

I’m not sure when purchased. Would there be markings on the units? Or other ways to determine if French or italian

you could take out the drawers and have a look underneath and on the back. or how much the surfaces darkened.
from what I see I wouldn't put them earlier than the 1920s to 1930s.
and forget about "demi-lune" for the smaller one.
    best are many clear pics.
